How it works
This app utilizes ChatGPT to fetch its daily facts. Due to this, the answers may repeat itself and the translations tend to sound a little clumsy sometimes as the fact itself is always fetched in english and the AI translates it to the language the app is set to use. As the AI advances over time, so should this app and the quality of the content.
As of today, we're using ChatGPT 3.5 as language model.

- Navigate back and forth through the days you already collected facts about
- Change the language of the app through your system settings
Language Support
Currently the following languages are supported:
- English
- German
You are able to change the language of the app in the system settings of your device. Just search for "On This Date" and change the language the app should use. Please note, that already fetched facts will remain in the language the app was set to when the fact was fetched.
Roadmap
Here are some ideas I hope to implement soon:
- Choose the language of the fact independently from your systems language
- Show a link you can click to find out more about the fact the app just showed you
- Adding a Widget, so that you can show the current fact on your homescreen at anytime
- Integrate a push message that reminds you of fetching a fact if you haven't done it that day already
